TARONGA ZOO SYDNEY, FOREST DISCOVERY TRAIL – TEMPORARY INTERACTIVE EXHIBITION
//Design + Retouching + Finished Art

The goal of this project was to generate awareness of the United Nation’s – Year of the Forest and to engage both adults and children visiting during the busy school holiday period.

The Forest Discovery Trail exhibition used a trail map for guests to follow, with the aim to seek out key featured animals in the zoo grounds.

Collateral included an adults information pocket booklet outlining each animals role in the forest, the issues faced by the species in the wild and how you can help. The children’s activity was featured on the back of a fold out kids map. This involved texture rubbings to be completed at checkpoints along the trail (on engraved ‘rubbing’ panels mounted onto the key exhibit signage locations) – with the goal to complete the illustrated puzzle and receive a prize.
